Commercial Glass Door and Window
Frequently Asked Questions

E

My business’s door closes too fast, are you able to perform adjustments or repairs?

If your door is in good condition, we may be able to adjust your door’s closing speed. However, if it is leaking oil from the point where the arm connects to the closer, then the mechanism will likely need replacement.

E

The door to my building drags along on the ground as it closes and does not close all the way. Can this be fixed?

Depending on the age and condition of your door, we may be able to adjust or replace the top and bottom pivots such that it closes smoothly. In cases where this is not possible, we are usually able to provide a continuous hinge, allowing the door to stay in service.

E

Can anything be done to make our building more secure?

Yes, there are a few options for increasing the security of your building. For existing commercial aluminum doors, we offer the following security retrofit solutions:

  • Forced entry protection: Cover or replace the glass with intrusion resistant or even bullet resistant glass.
  • Security strikes: Intrusion resistant latches that are either operated via pin codes, fobs or a card reader.

One of our windows has fog or condensation between the panes - can you fix it?

In general, when a window has fog between the panes, the seal has failed. Not only is this visually unappealing, but the window is no longer insulating properly. The only solution is to replace the glass.

We provide free visits to take measurements and assess the type and configuration of the compromised window and will provide you with a quote for replacement.
